About DAXXIFY®

Dynamic wrinkles are expression lines on the face that form as a result of repeated muscle movements. As skin loses elasticity, the normal muscle movements cause creases and wrinkles to form. Commonly seen in areas on the face, crow’s feet, frown lines, (between the eyebrows), and forehead lines or creases can fade slightly when the facial muscles relax.

Injectable neuromodulators block nerve signals that trigger muscle movement to temporarily relax muscle activity allowing the overlying skin to smooth and reduce wrinkles. (1) Neuromodulators use the purified neuroprotein botulinumtoxinA to stop the release of the acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter that signals muscles to contract. This temporarily prevents muscle movements that cause dynamic wrinkles and allows the skin to lay smoothly for a refreshed facial appearance.

Daxxify is formulated and produced in the United States with innovative stabilization technology that is different from how traditional neuromodulators are made. Traditional neuromodulators use human serum albumin (HSA) as a stabilizer, while Daxxify uses a proprietary peptide-based stabilization technology. Since Daxxify uses synthetically produced peptides and not human or animal byproducts, it is the first-of-its-kind neuromodulator known to be the “vegan” option.

The small, purified neurotoxin daxibotulinumtoxinA forms a strong bond with a highly-positively-charged 35-amino acid peptide (RTP004).(2) The smaller size and positively charged peptide allows it to bind closer and more efficiently to the nerve cells. The improvement in binding strength and ability allows the treatment results to appear sooner and last longer than other neuromodulators, with results often appearing in 24 hours and lasting six months. Procedure

Daxxify treatment is quick and minimally invasive. An injection expert will mark the injection sites (typically five across the glabellar lines), then a very fine needle is used to inject the Daxxify precisely into the targeted muscles. Most people describe the injection as a small pinch or stinging sensation. There is no downtime and you can leave the office and return to normal activities immediately.

Recovery

Initially, there may be mild tenderness or swelling, but this will subside shortly. Daxxify will begin affecting the targeted muscles quickly. Effects will be noticeable within 24-48 hours and continue to improve over time. Within one to two weeks, the final results will be revealed with more relaxed muscles and noticeably smoother wrinkles.

Results

Daxxify’s wrinkle-smoothing results typically last about six months, but effects can be enjoyed for up to nine months, lasting twice as long as traditional neuromodulators. Features that were once burdened with wrinkles, creases, and folds will not appear smooth, rejuvenated, and youthful. FAQ

How is Daxxify different from Botox® and other neuromodulator injectables?

Daxxify is the only peptide-engineered neuromodulator on the market. Unlike other neuromodulators, Daxxify is formulated with a synthetic positive-engineered peptide instead of human or animal byproducts (meaning Daxxify is vegan!). Daxxify binds to the neurotransmitters more effectively than traditional neuromodulators for results that are visible sooner and last twice as long as other injectables like Botox.
